As the operators of this website, we take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially.
The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal information. Insofar as we collect your personal data (for example, your name, address or email addresses), this will take place – as far as possible – on a voluntary basis at all times. Such data will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent.
Please note that data transmission over the Internet (for example, when communicating via email) may have security vulnerabilities. The complete protection of the data from access by third parties is not possible.
The website sometimes uses what are commonly referred to as cookies. Cookies serve the purpose of making our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your web browser.
Most of the cookies that we use are known as “session cookies”. These are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, so that you accept cookies for certain cases, or so that you generally exclude cookies and enable the automatic deletion of cookies when closing your browser. Disabling cookies may, however, limit the functionality of this website.
Server Log Files
The provider of these webpages automatically collects and stores information in what are known as server log files; this information is transmitted to the provider automatically by your web browser. The following information is transmitted:
The browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Host name of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. A merging of this data with other data sources will not take place. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of illegal use.
Squarespace and Google Analytics
This website uses Google Search Keyword Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Search Keyword Analytics shows which search terms direct Google's traffic to your website. That's how we determine which search terms are responsible for the most clicks on our site, and which is the average position for different search queries.
Insofar as the website provides a contact form and if you send us enquiries using this contact form, your details from the contact form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored in order to process the request and in the case of any follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent and it will be treated confidentially.
Information, cancellation and blocking
You will receive information about the personal data we store regarding your person, as well as the origin, the recipient and the purpose of the collection and processing of the data. In addition, you have the right to request the rectification, blocking or erasure of your data. This does not apply to data that is stored due to statutory regulations or is required for the proper conduct of business. To allow for the implementation of a data lock at any time, the data may be stored in a lock file for monitoring purposes if necessary. Where your data is not collected on the basis of a statutory archiving obligation, we shall erase such data at your request. In the case of an archiving obligation, however, we shall block your data.
Should you have any questions or concerns about the rectification, blocking or erasing of personal data, please contact our data protection officer, Ms. Cornelia Hoppler.
